What to expect

Your First HBOT Visit

Calm, Clear, and Guided Every Step of the Way

Here's what happens right after you book:

1. Medical Safety Clearance:

You’ll complete a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) intake form, reviewed by Dr. Mark Woodall.
You’ll have a complimentary 20-minute telemedicine call to review your health history and answer any questions.

2. Prescription & Plan:

Once cleared, you’ll receive a personalized HBOT prescription — including recommended session length and frequency.

3. Your Session

  • Sessions are 60 or 90 minutes, fully non-invasive and relaxing.

  • You’ll sit comfortably in our reclining chair inside the chamber.

  • A technician helps you get settled with blankets and an oxygen mask (if needed). You may optionally choose to turn on the red light therapy panel inside the chamber for a 2-in-1 experience.

  • As pressure increases, you may feel gentle ear popping — just like on an airplaneequalize as needed until you reach your goal pressure.

  • Once at full pressure (after ~10 minutes), simply relax and breathe (this is a great time to read, journal, or meditate).

  • Our technician monitors you throughout and assists during the 10-minute decompression at the end as needed.

4. After Your Session

Many clients report feeling calm, focused, and deeply rested.
You may notice improved sleep or energy after a few sessions but more significant changes may occur with consistent use.

Is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Safe?

Safety First

Yes. The most common side effect is mild ear pressure — similar to changing altitude in an airplane.

Our team monitors you throughout every session, and adjustments are made for your comfort.

To ensure your safety, we do not accept clients with:

  • Insulin-dependent diabetes

  • Cancer

  • Untreated pneumothorax

  • Recent or severe ear trauma

If you’re unsure whether HBOT is right for you, Dr. Woodall will discuss your specific situation before starting.

Before You arrive

How to Prepare for Your Session

Please arrive freshly showered and wear clean, 100% cotton clothing.

For safety reasons, avoid the following before and during your session:

🚫 Fragrances, lotions, oils, hairspray, deodorants, or petroleum-based products
🚫 Synthetic fabrics or metal accessories
🚫 Electronics inside the chamber

Your comfort and safety are our top priorities — we’ll review everything again before your first session.

Is HBOT Covered by Insurance?

Insurance & Pricing

In the U.S., insurance typically covers HBOT for rare hospital-based emergencies.

Because we focus on wellness, performance, and recovery indications, our services are not covered by insurance.

However, many clients use HSA or FSA accounts toward HBOT sessions.
